December 2024 Multible Specimens, reported by Tyree Lamph, owner "Utah Dump Digger"
$2,500 reward for any information that helps with the return or prosecution regarding a theft of rocks, fossils, and minerals on Christmas's Day in the Sandario Road area in Tucson. These items were stolen from Tyree Lamph, owner of "Utah Dump Digger".
On Christmas's day our storage container, trailer and the nursery owned by Bernie and Gary a Maskarinac next to us was robbed. This was a well-planned theft and not a smash and grab type theft. We lost material we display and sell at the Tucson show in our tent every year. Gary lost a John Deere Green Tractor and other related nursery items.
We are asking everyone to be on the lookout during the Quartzite Show, Tucson Shows, on the internet, and everywhere else you can think of for specific items that should be easy to spot, pictures and description below. please take a second to look at a couple of the pictures as the material is distinctive and it may be easily seen.
The stolen items include:
1. 28 flats of our Dragon Scale Stones. (Trade Name), Dragon Stones are iron oxide nodules with a siderite core and surface polygonal patterning found in the Hell Creek formation of North Dakota in association with dinosaur bone. These are very uncommon and I believe there may be only one other person that sells these under a different name in quartzite.
2. 15 flats of Colorado Fluorite and Amethyst. This is a bright green fluorite with a purple amethyst. Although it is around this amount should be easy to spot as it is not common.
3. 10 flats Utah Golden Selenite.
4. 5 flats Clay Canyon Crandallite nodules.
5. 8 flats Thunder Bay Amethyst.
6. 28 flats of polished Petrified Wood of assorted kind.
7. 500lbs of Coprolite in white colored sandbags.
8. 10 flats of Green River Formation insects and leaves.
9. Hundreds of our identified Bags of Dinosaur Bone. Our Labels are very distinct and if you see 20 boxes we need to know where.
10. 38 flats Dinosaur Bone chunks.
11. 15 Flats of smaller polished gem Dinosaur Bone. mostly C-grade.
12. 8 milk crates of sorted Gem Dinosaur Bone. The crates will have black sharpie with pricing on the top edge of the crate.
Thanks everyone for keeping an eye out. Please look at the pictures below and watch for those stickers and Dragon Scale Stones. They are very distinctive and have to show up somewhere. Please share to any other pages you think may help.
If you spot any of these items, please call Tyree at 801-514-0240 or contact Detective Lisa Johnson. Pima County Sheriffs dept, Case number #24122101, Phone (520) 351-4900
