November 2022 Multible specimens reported by Gary Olson
Theft Alert, PACIFIC COAST (MAINLY NW) REGION.
Gary Olsen had his pickup stolen from the La Quinta in Tumwater, Washington yesterday, November 21. Silver 2005 Ford F-250 Diesel 4x4 with a Truxedo/Tonneau rollout cover over the back and if the plates are still on it it's South Dakota 21V 711.
There were lots of fossils and things in it that will be hard for anyone to sell locally. We are depending on AAPS members to share this info with people you know in the area to see if the material can be located.
Any stores or rock shops or museums or the like may be approached by someone trying to sell the stolen goods so get the word out to them by sharing this. The pictures are of most of the in the truck. Unique pieces that should throw up red flags. If anyone is approached, have them snap some pics and send them to me and I should be able to tell if they are my stolen pieces or not. I haven't figured out a reward yet but I'm working on it. Just want to get this out there now and get it circulating. Thank you and share.
Items not pictured: Large Directflow Comco Abrasion unit, single canister Comco abrasion unit, Paleosculpt putty and super glue, paints and sculting tools, Triceratops horns, smaller unprepped rex teeth, lots of small frill/skull pieces from triceratops, lots of unprepped small things wrapped in aluminum foil, bunches of spinosaur, raptor, and pterosaur teeth from Morocco and a few other Moroccan bones, full bag of triceratops teeth, lots of funny Tshirts, lots teeth from US, and vertebrae in a plaster field jacket.
