Thank you for awarding me the James R. Welch scholarship. Your support of graduate research in invertebrate paleontology is very important and very appreciated. As a student of invertebrate paleontology it is often difficult to find funding for my own research. Your scholarship will help me to travel to New York, Washington DC, and Iowa to study their nautiloid cephalopod collections and to further the research for my dissertation.
